Meet the Authors!

 After experiencing the life changing impact on their own lives and marriage, Don & Katie began teaching others about the motivational gifts. They soon realized people needed a way to accurately figure out what their own gifts were. That is when God tugged at their hearts to develop testing materials to help people discover their motivational gifts.

This was a monumental undertaking, but Katie’s gifts of Administration and Teaching were the perfect blend to take on the challenge. Through years of research, planning, factoring in user feedback and statistical analysis the first questionnaire was born (Adult Questionnaire). After the success of that testing tool came a plethora of testing materials for children, marriage, and a variety of adult situations (secular, randomized questions etc.) Katie also developed a variety of supplementary teaching materials.  (All the materials can be found under the shopping tab.)

During their years of ministry Don & Katie were beloved teammates traveling around the world spreading freedom and grace as people discovered their God-given motivational gifts. They were a dynamic blend of solid, accurate teaching (Katie), and enough humor to keep it fun and relatable (Don)!  As the demands grew, they saw the need to train up others to help teach the motivational gifts and started regional and national trainings that are now available in the form of a kit allowing potential teachers to work through the training at their own pace at home.

It was Don & Katie’s desire that the ministry would out live them. When they passed their adult son Don Fortune took on the mantle to keep the ministry and materials available as he too had experienced the life changing power they brought into people’s lives.

Don & Katie will be forever missed. One of the treasures they left for us is a video of them teaching the motivational gifts in their own word, albeit grainy due to the primitive technology available at the time of the recording.  We have decided to make this available for purchase as a way to honor them and keep their voices alive. It can also be used in a small group or conference setting when a Certified Teacher is not available.

The English language doesn’t have enough words to properly thank Don & Katie for all their years of sacrifice, hard work, and tenacious commitment to produce quality materials that have stood the test of time.

We are working on a way to get some of the testing materials online, but no official publication date is available yet..
